This poster design is a derivative work from the Limbic System Module, showcasing the Papez Circuit. After doing much research, I concluded that there was a need for a much more 3D visualization of the Papez Circuit. After working with Dennis Burns, M.D., Neuropathology professor at UTSouthwestern, I accurately portrayed all of the elements within the circuit.
Poster description “THE PAPEZ CIRCUIT was discovered in 1937 by James Papez, an American neuroanatomist. Originally believed to associate with emotion, it is now known to be a function of explicit (or declarative) memory, which is facts and events that are accessible to our conscious minds.”
